We offer Playschool for ages 2-3 and Preschool for ages 3-4. Remarkably, young children seem to be designed to learn from their surroundings, and much of what adults think of as play actually teaches children a great deal. In pretend play for example, children use their imagination to represent objects, people and ideas, an important step towards symbolic thinking. Play provides the foundation for academic or "school" learning. It is the preparation needed before they learn highly abstract symbols such as letters (which are symbols for sound) and numbers (which are symbols for number concept).
